Wavesworn

Wavesworn is a persistent-world naval MMO in a 2.5D pixel-art style. It runs in the browser.

Ships have mass, so they speed up and turn slowly. The wind changes over time, and a ship that points into the wind is in irons and loses most of its speed. Water currents push ships off course.

The design includes ship tiers from dinghies to galleons, upgrades for sails, hulls, and cargo holds, and several types of cannon shot. Guilds can claim islands and build bases on them.
